I have some flights later this year which are currently under the old Platinum Amex Charge Card rules, but after they are over and my card is up for renewal, I'm looking at ways of extending my Amex Insurance. Currently, the Platinum Business Card (at $1200 p.a.) maintains the old Insurance rules, which is beneficial to me, and I'm considering upgrading my Personal Charge Card to a Business Charge Card. With the old Insurance, the card is still worth $1200 to me. But are there any additional issues that I need to be aware of? I have a business, which was started this financial year, dealing entirely in billing of medical services, and I'm hoping this will be sufficient to get a Business Card - what else should I be looking out for, and are there any other pitfalls? I figured that I would probably still continue spending the majority of funds on the Personal Platinum card, but the Business Card is there to obtain the better travel insurance.
