I bought direct business reward seats from Melbourne to Denpasar a couple of months ago as they've been using A330-300's with the new 1-2-1 upgraded seats. I booked flight GA719 and selected individual side seats in the new configuration. I checked yesterday and Garuda has changed back to an plane with the old crummy seats and layout. In fact, doing a search throughout the year, it looks like all direct flights to and from MEL-DPS have have had the aircraft switched out for the old ones. Anyone else noticed this?

I guess the 2-2-2 config still beats the competition's cradle seats, so they can play around with the 330 configs they use.

Disappointing but as said above, when you haven’t got much competition you can pretty much use which config serves the airline the best

Garuda made a big splash about switching the direct flights to the new 1-2-1 config, but the fun didn't last long.

It does suck but perhaps there is an issue and the newer seating will return. Perhaps they are having fleet issues or simply streamlining as I noticed that in May when we are flying from CGK-DPS 9 of the 10 daily flights are on the 737 and only 1 is on the A330. Normally when we fly that route there is several per day on A330’s or 777’s
