*G SQ Lounge access on VA flight number

Hi

I'm looking at booking a flight on Virgin Australia site for SYD-SIN as its $130 cheaper than off SQ's website. Will there be complications in accessing my star gold benefits by doing this? I assume it won't be possible to redeem the points other than KF or Velocity programs but want to check on lounge access etc.

Unless you have SQ or VA status you won't get access AFAIK.
