fying delta and virgin, points and status credit question

I booked a flight a few days ago on exepdia a few days ago with had delta and virgin flights on it. I have a gold velocity account and last year signed up to a delta skymiles account but have no points or status credits.
The flight from syd - lax has a delta number but flying with virgin. the lax - nyc flight is a delta flight, the flight from nyc to syd is a delta flight from nyc to syd but a virgin flight number and plane from syd - lax.

Will i be getting points and credit on the airline i fly on or can i select where i want my points to go to?

Make sure your velocity number is registered with Delta flights and virgin flights whether they are marketed by delta or virgin.

You will get SC and points into your velocity account from DL/VA marketed and/or operated flights.

Just keep the boarding passes in case it does not automatically get credited.

I travelled with Delta in July & Aug. (syd-lax) no problems with gaining my SG's & points. I did make sure that my Velocity no. was registered. Points & SG came thought in lest than a week. Enjoy your travels

I do have my virgin velocity registered on my delta flights and when i log into my sky miles account i can see my velocity number but do points and status credits go to my delta account or my velocity account or both?

If you have both numbers in the booking , it will default to the DL account.

Who do you want to earn with? If you want to earn with Velocity, ensure that ANY delta FFN number info is removed from the booking
