sorry if this question has been posted here before, but can anyone who regularly flys between Brisbane and Perth with Virgin tell me if deplaning from the aircraft is done via front and rear of the aircraft? I'm flying with them on Friday night and looking at getting on my way as quickly as possible, and therefore don't want to be seated in the middle (row 15) of the aircraft as I currently am. I am due to arrive in Perth at 9pm. Thanks for your replies in advance

power71, this depends on the aircraft type you are flying. If it's a 737 then it is normal to disembark front and rear. Exceptions are in severe winds or wet weather, it can also depend upon the aircraft type that is next to you, e.g. A330, as this seems to stop rear disembark / boarding.
If you are on an A330 service it is forward door only.

If you want to avoid being held up then you really need to be forward as you can't guarantee rear door use.

For Perth now days it depends which bay you end up arriving on and then also the aircraft that are next to you, if there is an Airbus next door then you won't have rear stairs. More likely than not it will be through the front door only.

To put a percentage on it would be about 90% front only.

If your arrival time is 9pm there may be less chance of rear stairs being used as well - I seem to recall less ground staff at some VA ports means less chance of rear stairs as well. Some of the more regular PER VA flyers on here would know the chances better than me though, sounds like bubblyguy flies into PER more than me.

You're on VA468 which is currently scheduled to be a Boeing 737-800. So the rear stairs may be used.
