Hey all, apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, I haven't been able to find anything on it.

I'm travelling from Melbourne-Cologne with Lufthansa, with my FRA-Cologne segment being Lufthansa's private carriage on the high-speed rail. Just a question for anyone that may have used this service:

1. When I land in Frankfurt, do I collect my luggage from the normal luggage carousel for the flight, or head to the Lufthansa AiRail checkin? Some reports and reviews of the service haven't been very clear on this, and I'll be on a super quick turnaround to get into Cologne by midday.

2. Do I actually need to check-in for this segment of the trip, or will I be given an airline/train ticket in Melbourne?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
