Hi everyone.

I discovered Flyora but I am not sure just what it is telling me and how to interpret it. I am sure it is going to be very useful. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Thanks Princess. But just what is it telling me? I put in the name of the airline, the class and route and then it pops up info from different airlines in either miles or points. Just what is that telling me? The number of points or miles I would need to buy/exchange for that flight with different airlines? Can I tell how many qantas points I need to buy that flight if I am travelling with another one world partner?l for example if I want to travel fro London to New York, can I tell how many points qantas will charge to buy the flight with different partner airlines? How do I interpret the dollar amount at the end.
Thanks

This is how I think it works (hopefully trippin can chip in more useful info than me).
The calculator is based on paid flights.
The points earn rates are what you would earn if you credited that flight (in miles or points) on each of the FF programs. The dollar amount is what those points earned are worth if redeemed at maximum value on that particular program.

Trippin-the-rift will provide more technical detail....

But it is as the good Princess has mentioned.

The idea of Flyora is to analyse the best use of your FFP crediting.

For example - most folks that fly QF are members of QFF, credit to QFF, and redeem their points on QF.

But perhaps this is not the best program to credit your points to, nor redeem your points on.

Flyora is a massive data-analytics tool designed to help answer those questions.

It's also a work-in-progress. The previous beta incarnation analysed your flight history and provided a comparison of points/status earn had you been crediting to various different programs.

Hello and yes this is a oneworld mileage calculator designed to make it easier to figure out which frequent flyer program is best to credit your paid tickets towards. The data on flyora.com is rule based on thousands of inputs which are queried to pinpoint the numbers earned.

The dollar value to the right is a calculation of looking at every flight segment that home airline FF program has on their network. From there a $value is assigned to each segment based on actual flight costs (taking multiple data points into account) and then the same was done for award tickets and this gives us an accurate $value for what an average point/mile is worth with that frequent flyer program.

There's two sets of data sitting behind this and what you see on the site is my 1st iteration of data interpretation. The 2nd set (and more advanced/accurate) set of data is used for commercial analysis. When I find the time I'll update the main site with this new data which includes min point guarantees and spot-on qantas domestic earning on qff.

It will however give you a solid indication as to what Oneworld frequent flyer program is best to credit your paid flights towards.

It doesn't seem to list the correct points for Qantas... :?:

I haven't imported a lot of QF data into the front facing vesrion. This is a personal on the side project.. :)

Also missing is IB and RJ... flyora - frequently asked questions
