Was reading all about a QFF ( J) traveller on his way to Santiago who was involuntarily downgraded by out friend Latam to economy for the long haul across the Pacific. Don’t want to bore people’s socks off but that company before its merger has style. Flying home from the Atakama desert, via Calama, a tight connection with a QF flight in Santiago, my wife and I were dropped from our flight from Calama( booked four months prior) by a plane load of miners. But for the good graces of flight personnel, who radioed ahead, plus the ground staff at critical points in the domestic to international terminal, as well as a typical fog delay by our QF flight, we made it in time for a ‘ good day mate’ at the door of the plane. My message, don’t trust any one but your own airline, avoid any airline that overbooks seats, like the North American and South Americans and if caught KICK up a big stink.
