Hi,

My brother is flying from Europe to Australia in a few months. He booked his flights on EY, and has EY flight numbers, even though some are operated by Air Berlin. Basically flying WAW-TXL-AUH-SYD and return. WAW-TXL-AUH are EY flight numbers, operated by Air Berlin. AUH-SYD and return are operated by EY.
If he has no status with EY, but an AirBerlin topBonus gold card, will he be able to access the lounges at the various airports throughout the journey ? If so, which ones - EY or OneWorld ? Which lounge, if any, will he be able to access in Sydney before the return flight?
I've also managed to talk him into crediting his status points to my VA account. Is that going to be possible here ? If he adds his velocity number to the booking (and have pooling set up to me), will that work, or by virtue of using his AirBerlin card during boarding/lounge, will the points be allocated to his AirBerlin account ?

Cheers,
LP

EY flight numbers operated by AB cannot be credited to Velocity
