Flying 19 July, need 15 SC to retain VFF Gold by 21st July - delay in crediting

Hi guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

As the thread title indicates I am due for status review on the 21st July this year. I need 15 more SC to retain Gold, and I am travelling on the 19th July. With the current delays in crediting SC and points, is there likely to be an issue with retaining Gold? In a nutshell would I drop back to Silver as the SC weren't in my account on the review date? I may have to look at doing a status run if so.

No. You will be fine.

Firstly, your current status is good for one month after your review date.

Secondly, they give you 14 days after your review date for the remaining SC to come through.

No panic is necessary....

Thanks for the quick reply. Of course now looking at my card I see my expiry date a month later.

If they fart cough around with crediting your SCs, you email them with a timeline, stating if they were credited correctly, you would have retained SG.

I had to do this once for my husband because it took weeks for a VA booked flight on a MI/SQ booking to come through. I even emailed them copies of the boarding passes and they knocked me back - again, it was a VA booked flight.

If you fly in the correct period, the requal is based off the date the flight was taken.. so it does not really matter when they post the SC.

Just with the delay, it causes you to waste time chasing it up.. thats all
