Hi, my Flybuys account is linked to Ebay, if I log in through the Velocity portal first
(Cookies enabled, of course) will I earn both Flybuys AND Velocity points, just like using Flybuys travel to buy plane tickets?

Yep it sure will.
I also linked and got the 5xFlybuys offer and also signed up for eBay plus and got double points per $.

Sometimes you get lucky and this works, sometimes it doesn't. You might also consider adding cashrewards into the mix. I've had all three payout sometimes.

Good to know. Thanks. Not sure if it's just me but Ebay seems very hit & miss in regards to Velocity links.

Recently purchased an item for $150 & had to make a Missing Points Claim after no Email confirmation 48 hrs later, while I got the usual confirmation Email within 24 hrs from a $15 Ebay purchase a few days ago! Uggh!

I only ever seem to have issues with Ebay, every other shopping partner the Email confirmation comes within 24 hours.

Ok, so can anyone confirm if the Double Dipping extends to the Qantas mall as well?

Ie earn 1 QFF POINT per dollar spent via the QF mall, plus earning the flybys points ( ie 1 point per $2 spent) when an Ebay Account has a Flybys number attached?

Mine is showing in my Qantas mall shopping history as pending so looks like it should work although it will probably take 6 months for it to be completed and receive the Qantas points to be able to confirm for sure.
I have already received the flybuys points for the eBay purchase.

Yes Qantas mall points are notoriously slow at posting at the moment.

But figure i too might give it a go via the QF mall as well, and see what happens.
