Fly with us on us - what about non AU passengers

In the original anouncemet Qantas said :-

'For our customers whose travel originated from a destination other than Australia, we will be in touch with you separately with more information on your specific offer shortly.'

Has anybody heard anything / been offered anything.
I was booked in J from LAX to MEL and ended up traveling 4 days later (still on Qantas) at much inconvenience, but I have not heard anything yet.
