Fly to Lord Howe Island or Armidale and earn double points*

QantasLink celebrates 17 years of continuous service to world heritage listed Lord Howe Island and 19 years of service to Armidale.
To celebrate, you could earn double points when you book and pay for a flight on one of the following QantasLink routes:

  • Sydney to Armidale (or vice versa).
  • Port Macquarie to Lord Howe Island (or vice versa).
  • Brisbane to Lord Howe Island (or vice versa).
  • Sydney to Lord Howe Island (or vice versa).
You simply need to fly between 13 May and 16 June, and you could earn double points, that is 2,000 points* for a single flight, or 4,000 for a return flight.*

Is it possible to book Lord Howe Island flights from the QF website? I tried but could not find LDH listed in domestic or international sections....

I found flights after a huge massive search, lasting a whopping big five seconds.

It's not listed in the Red-e-deal pages, which I guess is what you are referring to, but it certainly exists as an option on the Flights search on the Qantas homepage.

I generally only look at the red e-deal pages. I didn't have a strong desire to book flights but was interested to see the airfares. I noticed that Expedia listed the return flights at ~$800 which quickly removed any thoughts of a possible mileage run.

Flights to LDH have always been expensive, and probably always will be. However, they are a good use of QF points, since BNE/PMQ/SYD-LDH is Zone 1, and only 8,000 points+taxes.
