FLEX fare giving discount economy status credits

Points and Status credits may be earned on this fare Flight Upgrade Awards are eligible on this fare. Flight Upgrades can only be redeemed on Qantas operated flights. This fare is classed as Discount Economy when Status credits are earned or when points are redeemed for a Flight Upgrade Award.

The only international fare that gives you full economy SC's is Y (and PE).

Anything below is discount SC's. It is all labelled in the points earning table.

It is different to domestic economy.

I don't think the information in that popup changes based on which fare bucket your ticket falls into. It's just default text because all international fares in economy earn at discount Y. AFAIK, you cannot choose to book into the Y fare bucket on the web site.

If your actual ticket shows Y for the return leg you should get double the number of SCs of the outbound leg.
