First time to Dubai - What to do and see?

Hi,

I am going to Dubai in the next few weeks for about 10 days for work, which will mean I will be there over a weekend, so I am wondering what is there to do and see that would fill in the weekend?

I was thinking of a desert 4wding tour, or anything else that would get me out to see what is around there, but open to any other suggestions.
