First ever QF Op-Up

Very happy yesterday as I checked in to QF127 to HKG to get upgraded from my Discount Economy Fare to Premium Economy. I was initially booked in to seat 40a with the bulkhead cut out which would have been good, but I think they had a plane change so that seat layout wasn't available, don't know if that would have been the reason for it?

Fingers crossed the same thing happens when I fly back over night on Wednesday.

I had the same happens a few months back albeit coming back from HKG to SYD on QF128. That was my first O/S upgrade . Enjoy the trip.

My wife and I were both upgraded from premium Economy to Business both ways on a recent trip to Tokyo. Even got to select first class seats on the trip over and fare was a premium economy sale fare so was very happy!

I am Plat but wide only bronze.

YEah I'm WP as well so no doubt that helped.

Looks like all flights out of hk on Wednesday are sold out except via bne so could get hooked up again on my hkg-melb flight fingers crossed
