I've got a SYD-HKG-HEL-CDG trip coming up. It's all ticketed through Finnair, but there's two PNRs.
The first leg (SYD-HKG) is operated by Cathay. The second leg (HKG-HEL) is operated by Finnair. Both these are on the same PNR. The third leg (HEL-CDG) is also operated by Finnair, but on a different PNR.
So my question is this: Will I be able to check my luggage through from SYD-CDG, as it's "all Finnair", or will I have to collect my luggage in HEL, and re-checkin for the HEL-CDG landside?
I know at some point I'll have to go through EU customs with my luggage - so will that be HEL airside/landside/airside to CDG, having gone through EU arrival processing in HEL, or at CDG after just transiting HEL without having to collect and recheck my luggage? (I have flashbacks to doing similar manoeveres when passing through LAX...so just wondered!)
