Hi All - I recently nabbed one of those FJ AKL LAX rt $2700 J fares. I booked in advance as I have a conference I need to get to but I only booked (online direct) to LAX and would like to add a sector to Nashville. I have plenty of time but I don't want to spend a night in LAX. I can easily booking a seperate add on, but I'd like it on one PNR in case the FJ flight is late and I can check in in AKL and get to my destination without buying a new fare.

My questions are:

  1. Do I ring FJ and ask to add that sector?
  2. Should I bother and just book my own tix and then ask them to link (but I'm guessing it'd need to be a certain carrier so which one?)
  3. Do I bother at all/will it matter?

On another note, does anyone know what AKL lounge they use?

FJ can't sell you a AA fare/ticket to BNA (I assume it's AA, because they have a non stop).

You can't link PNRs between carriers or tickets.

If you had an agent book the AKL/LAX for you originally then you could add the AA ticket at a later date into the same PNR, no problem.
