Just logged into my account thank goodness and saw the below

21 JAN 14 8X MYER DIGITAL GIFT CARD - $250 ORDER QA768945 POINTS ONLY ----299,200

Onto the premium line now as obviously someone has hacked into my account - anyone else had anything like this happen and now what happens to my points ??

that's pretty nasty and brazen - with any luck the redemption requires someone on QFF side to intervene and process manually so they can put a stop to it.

Have been advised to sign a stat dec and get to QFF asap also changed PIN and other details. I am devastated and have always been so careful. How can I get the police involved as dont know who did this and wondering how Myer would allow this to happen as well...quite shaky about it all. Any advice appreciated.

Whats Myer got to do with it apart from being the provider of the electronic gift card ordered via the QFF store who probably should also be contacted?

That's awful! If any other accounts of another type share the same pin if change them immediately as well!

surely if QFF were truly interested in this, they could follow up the address where the vouchers were going to be sent... or is a digital gift card one that provides codes electronically?

What has QF said?

Try and stay calm and work with QF.....I'd hope that they are very keen to get to the bottom of it.

BTW, is it possible that someone in the household could have taken it????

Terrible to hear... I hope (don't know how though) that Qantas will be satisfied you didn't neglect the security of your account and might reimburse you the way you'd be protected with a credit card?

I'm wondering if you may have accidentally dropped your boarding pass with your FF# somewhere and someone just tried brute-force attacking your PIN, allowing for timeouts, until they got in?

Or keylogging at a public computer if you've logged on outside your home?

In any event, disappointing to hear and I know I'd feel so violated... :(

Still on hold with premium line....no none in house, just my husband and myself ........
Premium line advised to go to Police which I will do this evening
They cannot investigate further they say until Stat Dec received
I cannot believe this

Ouch! Hope you pull through this one.

If you have a witness to your whereabouts on the date (and/or time) when the theft occurred, that might help you out. I'd expect this not to be solved cleanly and quickly.

As for going to the police, tough one... could you report theft of identity / hacking to the police? (Whether they would give two tosses is a different matter...)

In your QFF profile, as well as changing your PIN, I'd check your email address and other particulars have not changed.

QF Store should keep a record of where the order went, I'd assume. Whilst they might not be able to cough up where or who the order went to (it's your account, don't see why not, though), that may be key later if the police demand information.

Could this be computer hacked and not just FF account?

I would be guided by whatever QF tell you however I would ask to speak to someone at the fraud section in Myer to see if they can put a stop on the voucher numbers or void them so they cannot be redeemed for products.

Have you got up to date virus protection on all of your devices?

My Dad's ANZ bank account got hacked when his computer automatically opened the next email & installed some virus that copied his internet banking key strokes so always make sure you can view an unopened email in your inbox so if it looks suspicious you have the option of deleting it without opening it.

It appears the Qantas Store is managed by Wishlist Holdings:
  1. Address: 93 Cook St, Port Melbourne VIC 3207
    Phone:(03) 8645 6400

That is terrible. I hope you get everything back, and the scum who did that to you get caught and locked away.

Makes you wonder if QF should insert another security step into the process......maybe a text like internet banking?

Noreen I have my fingers crossed for you....

Once you get thru this stage.....get your computer looked at quick smart!

  1. Thank you and also have a direct number 1300 662 859 for the Store. CSR Bobby advised that transaction made on line this morning at 8.30am..lucky I checked in on my account this afternoon. Was done on line so no security questions asked (seems crazy) and then because thye are digital random voucher numbers are chosen and not retained so Qantas cannot even advise Myer to stop the transaction. Qantas Store could not tell me what email address was used to send the vouchers too either. not retained ?? .surely there is a way for tracking this. Anyway need to get this Stat Dec in and a police report and fingers crossed. I can assure all that I have never revealed my PIN number or FF to anyone unless its to Qantas to book flights, I have never even bought anything from their store in all the years I have been a member.
  2. Will keep you all posted and thank you for your messages and support, will keep you posted on the result

Fingers crossed for you Noreen, I hope all this works out and the fraudsters are caught and punished.
