Mikhail Galin was distraught when Russian airline Aeroflot told him his cat, Viktor, was too heavy to fly in the cabin.
...

So he found a small cat, checked in and the substituted the fat cat for boarding.
When you're running a con it always helps not to boast about it on Facebook. The owner has now lost his Aeroflot miles and had his account closed.

But it appears that other companies are offering free travel for the cat (and his staff).

His mistake was publicly mocking the airline for how "easy" it was to circumvent their rules. I suspect Aeroflot was trying to make an example out of him.
