I just moved up a notch to ALL diamond from platinum. Thinking of SYD-ADL award flight, ADL-AKL for $378 or thereabouts, arriving AKL at 0600, then connecting AKL-SYD to be home next day. Just need to be sure the QR flight is eligible one.

Also worth noting it's a one-time offer for the status matches. Presumably the reciprocal extra point earn is ongoing
To my mind better than the ALL/QF benefits (unless viewed through perspective of obtaining ALL status via QF flying)

It says you must make one eligible international hotel room stay.. does this mean the stay would have to be overseas? Or would staying domestically be ok? I wouldn't think they'd know how to differentiate it at all

Use Clause 3.8 to your advantage to update your online account settings for the purpose of the status match and then relocate back home at a later date . Its not like they’re gonna require a stat dec WRT your residence. And you can always just create a brand new ALL account with slightly different details and rematch once unlinked from Quanniss.

While this status match might be useful for some people, I find the ALL program lacking and not worth my time unless at the Diamond level, which this QR status matches is not offering.

I was referring to being granted ALL Diamond by virtue of having QR Platinum. Top tier to top tier only works one way, from ALL to QR, not the other way.

Many of us here have QR Platinum thanks to the Virgin status match a while back now, but very few have ALL Diamond.

Perhaps, but from what I have seen, ALL aren't big on matching people to, or otherwise giving out, Diamond.

Nope. Have had this confirmed a couple of times from Accor management.
They are keeping Diamond linked to earned stays only as the they are trying to keep it exclusive which is fair enough I suppose. Platinum is still very good in the Accor world and gives pretty decent benefits at many properties
