Looking at travel out 19 Dec, and back 28 Dec. Cheapest nonstop QF fares I can see are $310 each way.

The current sale is for flights taken up to 10th Dec (with a gap for some school hols I presume).

Given that 19/28 Dec are near Christmas and probably both in school hols, is $310 likely to be as low as the fares get?

Not asking for crystal ball stuff, just maybe some prior experience from some AFFers.

Thanks

PS. This is for a friend and I see DJ are a little cheaper @ $293 e/w - they would be acceptable too, but I guess the same question applies.

I have the same question regarding Sydney around Oct9-12 ex PER.

Thanks +1:)

I booked a SYD-PER a day after I come back from France for $149 each way.

Go! fare and they do appear often, although the last cheapest one I saw was $169 each way.

This doesn't even come close to the Tiger fares in June where you could do MEL-ADL and ADL - PER for $25 apiece... but those fares seem to be rather rare especially on the dates you want to travel.

I seem to recall that at some stage in December last year QF introduced specials between Christmas/New Year. I remember thinking that this was odd, and unfortunately could not use it as I was out the country, and went against all the advice given by experts but sales can happen at peak times if the loads are light. Now I do not remember which routes were on special or if the actual sale airfares applied to all flights....

Oops... missed the Christmas timeframe in the original post... guess I better book my BNE-MEL flight soon if I want to be with friends this Christmas.
