Fare code P from Lufthansa, and others, do not receive ANZ credit

Recently finished a Lufthansa flight from Bangkok to Lisbon in business on a "P" fare code. While this is a discounted business seat, Air New Zealand will not give you any sort of credit from this Star Alliance member. If you are after status credit with ANZ, watch the fare code of the ticket you purchase.

Its fairly easy to look up on the NZ site to see what fares codes are ineligible to earn with star alliance airlines
eg:
Lufthansa - Star Alliance - Airpoints - Air New Zealand

I have since found that. I wanted others to be aware of this hidden danger if you are after status. Thanks highlighting where to look.

Its a very necessary check to make..... although I notice some cheaper Biz fare classes on certain airlines NOW credit as Business.....when they used to credit as Full Economy.
