With the Xmas obligations fulfilled, it's time for the amaroos to fly out for some much needed R&R mixed with some delicious cuisine

The Trip!

BNE-SYD QF J
SYD-SIN BA F
SIN-BKK CX J
BKK-HND JL J
HND-SIN JL J
SIN-SYD BA F
SYD-BNE QF J

Back in June the OH booked tickets for a family SIN/BKK new years break.... lets just say, booking flights isn't her strongest game. After some discussions with a fellow AFF'er it was suggested a BA package could have us sitting in F (for the cost of J) SYD-SIN-SYD, flying CX J to BKK, and JL J BKK-HND-SIN for basically, nothing :D Yes, a free side trip to Tokyo - perfect! We'll also get to enjoy some nice lounges - QF SYD F (much sought afternoon departure), JL HND F lounge, and the BA SIN Concorde Bar. All J flights (excluding QF) are lie flat beds :D

Hope you like food Shots!

Singapore is quite pleasant at the moment. Heavily overcast but not too hot and not wet.

Ok, as far as I understand it's basically an everyday BA deal that can't be booked on-line. One of those "deals" that are only known by industry types. The industry insider in this case was fellow AFF member madrooster

The additional legs to Bangkok and Tokyo are bundled in for either nothing or next to nothing. This fair earns (QF) 530SC and will provide two of those all important ~ that QFF require. Cost is always subjective, however given we're flying F and quality lie flat J (CX and JL) I reckon the cost is cheap .... given I only booked it 18 days ago - it's spectacular.

Thanks for that. Booked 18 days ago, that's amazing.

Looking forward to gatecrashing the tour next year.:p

Looking forward to sharing some money bags with you too ;)

It all starts tomorrow. I've been busy - have booked 12 restaurants in three countries, and confirmed a couple of bucket list activities in Tokyo.

Departed a little late. Reason - the first officer advised the captain noticed a dodgy tyre on his walk around. Pit crew did a pretty quick job and we were soon boarding - first time I can recall the walk around finding a fault.
