It's amazing what people whinge about on poor VA's Facebook site! They went absolutely berserk with the silver status thing and its quite funny hearing people whinge about flight change/ name change penalty fares! I feel sorry for the poor sod who has to reply to all that cough...

You make a mistake. you pay for it. That's where "pay for your mistakes" comes from! Or just fork out the bloody 7 bucks for the insurance if you don't quite have the cerebral capacity to get it right the first time round!

Now.. where can i complain about those business class coast to coast seats that don't quite fully recline the last 10 degrees to make it a perfectly flat bed... heheh :mrgreen:
 
I am sure if Virgin(or any other airline for that matter) couldn't handle the flack on social media, they sure as hell wouldn't have it.

It is just part of social media life. Move on nothing here to see!
 
Perhaps this thread could end up being a collection of the greatest Facebook and Twitter posts to Virgin to give everyone a laugh?

I sometimes wonder if these fuming FB whiners knock out their poorly worded uppercase posts in the heat of the moment at the airport. Most of the travel ‘disasters’ mentioned are really not too much to worry about (typical flying) yet these 'victims' feel that they have been aggrieved in every way and scream blue murder!! They won’t be happy unless the entire board is summonsed to a late night emergency meeting to decide if the airline’s CEO should be beheaded or shot or both! Things happen, flights are sometimes late and things sometimes go wrong. It’s called life. Bring on the wacky posts from angry travelers…..great idea and good reading.
 
I think over-reactions from the airport is exactly what we are seeing!

Yep everyone has this huge it was not my fault and VA/QF owes them because they held the up for 15 mins because there flight was delayed due to mechanical issues.
 
Even better when the airport is fogbound, so badly you can barely see the aircraft at the aerobridge. Then they stand there screaming that it is 2012/13 and everyone knows that it is bollocks that there is a delay as it's all done with computers anyway!!! i say let them get on the aircraft...there'll be no crew willing to go but they are welcome to get on board.

I follow the Starwood twitter feed at times.Boy are some complainers full of it.The SPG members who have preferred status and moaning that they dont have their status recognised or why didn't they get their suite upgrade.
Never going to change.

Are you kidding? The people whinging ( when the fog is too thick to see through) probably fly once every 3 years! Lounge folk generally look out the window in the morning at home and think to themselves, hmmm, prob going to have some delays today, wont rush to the airport.... :)

:rolleyes: LOL, whoops, I was too busy laughing at the thought of the dumb things I've seen over the years in terminals. Another fresh coffee in the lounge never goes astray !!! especially when I am not paying Airport terminal prices for it. And to date I've not had another AFF'er respond to my offer to guest them in. Maybe because I travel at weird times!
