Has anyone recently used the SYD F lounge for an OMG O'clock departure?

I have an obscene AKL departure coming up and will probably stay at the Stamford before checking in for lounge opening.

Old threads indicate 0530 opening..... is this still accurate??

EDIT: just found the QF link that states 0500 ;)

I've become so jaded (and like to sleep) that I probably wouldn't bother going in that early in the morning
*runs off to the naughty corner*

I know, it's seriously a very conflicting issue......

But if I was to skip the F lounge I would never be able to forgive myself ;)

I can sleep on the plane :)

I flew to Tokyo on JAL with an 8.15 am departure and was upset that i couldn't get three hours of Flounging in (boarded at 7.30 :( ). Yep, i was there at 0500 for opening. Taittinger at that hour still goes down surprisingly well!

As long as immigration and security are also open early enough. I've heard stories of pax having to wait for them (can't recall where though, not necessarily SYD).
