Hi,

Hearing some conflicting reports on this. Hoping someone can clarify.

Looking at booking an international Business Rewards fare on EY through Velocity.

Fare rules for Business Rewards state the following:
Cancellation and no-shows: Before day of departure: Cancellations are permitted 72 hrs before departure with a fee of AUD$60 or 7,500 Points per booking. Refunds or re-credits will not be allowed once travel has commenced.

I assume that if I was to cancel the flight I lose 7500 points but the balance of the points used as well as all taxes are refunded. Is this correct. is it given as a refund or a credit??

Have been told by others that I might lose all my points and taxes paid aswell as an extra 7500 points which sounds quite severe.

Thanks

It certainly used to be that there was to be no refund for any cancelled Velocity Award booking.

I do believe it was relaxed earlier this year.

As always, you should check these details before booking, even to the point of taking screen prints.
