Hi guys,
Just wondering if Expertflyer shows points upgrade availability and reward seat availability for VA?
When looking here ExpertFlyer.com i cant see VA listed but im sure ive read of people using EF to check availability??

If you just search for reward seat availability on Virgin Website I believe it comes from the same pool for the upgrades, or at least if there is a reward seat there is at least upgrade seats available.

Ok, So if i was 2 search for 2x Business rewards and it showed availability, i should be able to book 2xflexis, quickly ring up gcc and get the upgrade to business using points?

You can actually shorten the timeframe even more. Last time I did this, I went almost all the way through the booking process for a flexi ticket. I stopped just before confirming payment (Although I did enter my card details). I then rang the GCC and asked the agent to confirm upgrade availability and that my flexi ticket would be upgradable (The payment page should show fare rules and basis). I then clicked submit, waited for payment confirmation and reservation number which I passed on and was promptly upgraded. It happened so fast that I actually received email notification of the upgrade before notification of the Flexi booking.
