Event Hotels has the excellently regarded QT Hotels plus Rydges, Atura and one-offs like The Ultimo in inner Sydney in its growing portfolio.
It's having a 72 hour 'flash sale' with 30 per cent off, plus an extra 10 per cent off if one joins the free Priority Guest Rewards program.
The sale is limited to its NSW hotels.
One Sydney overnight price I saw for The Ultimo was as low as A$137, although it claims '$131' on the site. Typically this doesn't include brekky but there's 20 per cent off food and drinks if one's a PGR member.
Older properties such as the soon to be refurbished Rydges North Sydney are from A$113 overnight. If one can put up with an older style room (unrenovated), it's an excellent location.
These discounts strike me are very good value. Event is a company listed on the ASX but it used to be called Amalgamated Holdings Ltd.
QT may not be included, and the chain has an Albury hotel that also may be excluded judging by the ones included on the promotional page.
Not sure if its Thredbo NSW hotel is included in the flash sale.
