A friend has Etihad points (due to a business class Europe trip.) He is now about to do several QF economy flights to/from USA, plus an Air Canada flight.
How can these points be amalgated?

Best use for the EY points might be to just redeem some VA flights. That's what I landed up doing with some EY points I had from a few J flights. Couldn't find any other use for them. There is some value to be had with the VA redemptions too.
