Hi all,
Just have a question regarding the bonus points for Silver/Gold/Platinum members.
The have that the bonus points refers to the minimum number of Points (base) that can be earned for an eligible activity or transaction by a Red member.
So my partner (red) any myself (silver) flew J (in Z class) SYD-AUH (7506 miles) & AUH-LHR (3409 miles).
This is what I would work it to be then:
Red = 7506 * 1.15 = 8632
Silver = 7506 * 1.15 + 25% = 10,790
But for myself as silver at the time, got the following:
(7506 * 1.15) + (7506 * 25%) = 9,383
and it is the same for the return, but flew back in First and I was Gold by those flights, so the bonus jumps to 50%.
So my question is, what they define the "base" as. They have it as what the minimum number of points that can be earned by a "red" member, so being a silver at the time, I would expect to earn at least 25% more on what my partner earned for the same flight.
Or am I looking at it the wrong way?
Thanks heaps!
Phillippe
