HI, I have recently been looking for First Class and business seats from Mellbourne to Dublin via EY. I have located seat availability in both KVS tool and Guest seats on the etihad airline. This is a 291+ days in advance of the flight. I rang AA advantage in US and they cannot locate any of these seats. Is this normal? Do i just have to keep ringing all the time to see if they become available?

Ring the Australian number (actually in Fiji). They seem to be able to see seats that neither US or European agents can see. In the past week I have booked 7 family members to Europe across 4 separate bookings all with no trouble after finding flights via KVS and Etihad guest. I also found flights for a friend currently in Europe who tried booking them through European and then US call centres, no luck. But a quick call to the Australian number found them no problem.

Thanks for your help. I got onto Australian number and they managed to booked one of my flight requests but then advised that the other seats were not available. Rang back 1/2 hour later and managed to get the remaining seats booked although, some of the business seats that were available originally were no longer available so one leg is now economy. However, am pleased with 3 first class tickets from mel-auh (although not 380) and dub-auh business particularly as the flight over is the week before Christmas.
