Looks like Etihad have added again Velocity Platinum to the access list for the new 1st class lounge at AUH.

First Class Lounge & Spa

Last week they did not list VA Plat on this page, just Air Berlin and Air Serbia. Now VA Plat and Etihad Partner Platinum. VA website has not yet been revised, still lists Etihad Premium lounge for WP.

Be good to know if anyone gets through the door. I've a 3.5 hour layover later in the year and am hoping to be in this lounge!

Indeed! Check out the thread over here: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....nt-flyer/ey-auh-first-class-lounge-76265.html

I was there a few weeks ago and used my Alitalia membership to get in as I thought the Virgin one didn't apply. I mentioned I was Velocity Platinum as well and the very friendly lounge dragon told me she had been informed that morning that Virgin Platinums had access but that it seems to change from day to day. Great to see it made official, a pity the ridiculous new surcharge will push me to burn points on Singapore instead. The lounge is top class and the staff very friendly!!

How does this lounge compare to EK F in DXB?
Seems like EY is better (fitness centre, pressing services, actual sleep rooms)
