Ethiopian to fly to Oz?

According to this article: Africa's largest airline eyes Australian market to complete presence on every continent , ET are aiming to launch flights to Oz in 2028. I'm sure I've read similar stories in years past so we'll see what eventuates.

Some State Govt's / airports would likely offer "incentives" (=tax payer subsidy). A long hope.
But given QR & EK fly from that broad general region (towards EU) to AU hard to see where customers would come from. Would be ADD transit passengers, like most of EK & QR pax.
