Entry to US 'Admirals Club' lounges

I see US Airways lounges are now Admirals Club lounges. I see this, which worries me:

US Airways Club lounges have been renamed to Admirals Club lounges. There is no change to access credentials. Continue to purchase or renew your membership on usairways.com

Edit: That line is from the AA Admirals Club page, so its unclear if the 'no change to access credentials' applies to former AA or US credentials. The US Admirals Club page mentions 1 day passes, but there is absolutely no info about 1 days passes on their web pages, only annual memberships.


I have 2 legs coming up on US: J DFW-PHX and F PHX to YYC ; if I recall US access rules, you need status on US Airways to gain access. A J or F BP, and presumably OW Emerald, won't cut it, right?

Pretty sure it's the other way around. No access with US status but OWE (other than) AA gets you in.

Pre-merger I had a US F boarding pass, and Gold status on Star Alliance (but with AeroPlan ) and I got bounced.

I guess my base question is: Is entry to US Admiral's Clubs under AA rules or old US rules?

I know of people who have been welcomed into the PHX Club as QF SG.

US lounges are now on AA rules so even QPNBs can access.OWE definitely gets you in.

Yep, had no issue getting in with my QF SG. They are all treated as AA lounges now.
