Hi there,

I am a member of both the Enrich and Krisflyer. I have a lot of AMEX points to transfer but am not sure which is better? Please advise. Thanks

Welcome to AFF gwub!

Sorry to sound blunt but only you can answer that question by studying both programs and trying to align availability and cost of award flights to your desired travel.

  • Note that Amex MR points transfer to KrisFlyer at 1:1 where as transfer to Enrich at 4:3
  • KrisFlyer is part of global alliance and would cover more destinations and partners
  • KrisFlyer can have some good value saver awards
  • KrisFlyer may have higher taxes and surcharges on award tickets

It is worth pointing out that both programs have expiry of points, whilst Amex, as far as I know, doesn't. So unless you are planning to close down your Amex card, it is worth waiting until you are (almost) ready to use your points before you transfer them. In fact Enrich (used to) allow you to hold an award ticket for a few days whilst the points were transferred from an external program, not sure if they still allow this, but I know Krisflyer doesn't.
