There are some super deals in there if you need to travel in the next few months and since the disasters of a few years ago coupled with the management making Enrich alot less attractive availability is usually excellent.

Even with revenue bookings occasionally MH has some good deals albeit not originating from Australia. I saw KUL-SYD return in J about a month ago for $AUD1700. Cheapest i can see now is $AUD2350 and originating from Australia it is over $AUD3k.

In terms of the Enrich redemption promo: what are my chances of being able to book a SYD-KUL in the promo travel period then later on changing the date of travel to when i need? Would it just be the usual $USD20 change penalty(assuming award ticket availability?)? Or will they reprice?

I would say that you would have buckleys of being able to change to a date outside of the promo period without having to pay more.

Yeah i would usually agree however MH Enrich is not exactly a well run program. I booked an award ticket in 2014 for a friend and about 6 months later when they logged onto their Enrich account they actually received miles for the trip!

If i can work out a plan B to use the points so i dont have them stuck in Enrich if my plan fails then i will probably give it a go.

I have decided to let this one go through to the keeper. Having looked into it the key problem is that if you cancel an Enrich award ticket the miles are gone. Zero refund of miles.

Hopefully they will have a promotion early next.

That's a very ordinary enhancement
I looked up a couple of dates in October PER-KUL taxes are about $200 one way, $357 return
They want an additional AUD 1400 for the 54K miles on points + pay, so an Amex transfer looks the way to go

As an aside, it looks you can credit the Oman Air flights to Etihad if you want a more usable currency than Sindbad (no Tier Miles though)
