Emirates Upgrade

Hi,

I am flying to NZ in november 09 and would like to upgrade from economy to business with skywards points. I had a look at there website and it says to upgrade is 12,500 points does this sound right?

As for whether it is the correct number of points I don't know,
but if you are travelling alone, there is a (high) chance that they will offer you a cash upgrade offer for about AUD 130 per way, me and another member here have had this offer and happily took it and was very happy about it .

Just enough time for me to arrange chauffeur drive with them ...

My sister and her husband and two travelling companions were surprisingly op-upgraded to J from Y BNE - SIN a few weeks back - no status and probably first time on Emirates

I wouldn't have thought that 4 pax would be upgraded - usually only 1 or 2 in my experience.
