My wife and I have recently flown with Emirates PER - DXB - BHX and return.
I booked the flights to take advantage of their Miles Accelerator Bonus, which I believe is there to entice people to use the lesser popular flights.
I normally book online but as mine was an economy ticket and then a points upgrade to business and my wife's was a straight forward business seat I decided to speak to a human being. I say this because the 'Miles Accelerator' is automatically activated when booking online. Anyway I booked direct with Emirates on the phone.
I know that I activated/opted-in on internet for the bonus, but I don't know whether it was before or after I bought the tickets. It was definitely the month I bought them.
There's 4,000 points at stake for me and 6,000 for my wife.
Now we are back home there's no sign of the points.
Emirates customer services people are adamant that I have not opted in and I am equally adamant that I have. My account shows no such activity according to them.
They refuse to allocate any points to our accounts.
After all that, my simple question is: has anyone else suffered with this same problem and what was the outcome.
Many thanks in advance
John

Unfortunately the one member who I know could help in this situation has left the site.

Ignoring that, the best I could say is you’d need to have proof you were entitled/enrolled for that program. If you don’t have any, they can get away with getting away with it.

You could always phone back, ask for a supervisor, explain the situation and if they still refuse make sure the supervisor knows your future travel wont be with them, and you’ll switch to whoever their competition is. Really sock it to them. They might roll over then.
