Flying F on EK soon (QF redemption).
I see on QF website I can access the QF F lounge on this ticket
Any suggestions? New Emirates lounge or QF? Don't do spas so that isn't a "drawcard"

My reading is one guest each so you should be OK
I suppose we could try both but Mrs D just isn't into all that checking and comparing - a glass of bubbly and a Kindle and she is happy as. Ho hum

Nothing to stop you doing both.

EK lounges are the same pretty much around the world except in Dubai. Maybe better champagne in EK?

Champagne is about same same I think. QF F wins for me based on the dining.

Check Boomy's TR as a he documents both.

But +1 to Hvr's suggestion and doing both

If you don't have much time for some reason the EK is better as self serve meal and importantly self serve drinks! If, as I assume more likely, you will have plenty of time, go to the QF F lounge first for a three course meal and then adjourn to the EK lounge for drinks and chocolate.

I think the recommendation by dajop makes sense.
The EK Lounge in Melbourne is new this year and generally more up to date that many overseas EK Lounges.

Agreed, it's a buffet but a very nice one, a couple of steps up from say a QF J lounge. In my opinion the lounge feels a lot less private compared to QF F. The EK lounge feels more clubby and less stylish to me, YMMV. Suggest you have a look at the QF F lounge menu thread to get a feel for what they'll serve food wise. If I had to pick one I'd go QF.

Thanks for all the suggestions - looks like supper in QF then adjourn to EK until called for boarding.
It's been 5 years since the QF F lounge so anticipation building.

In the QF F lounge
All good Pushka. Showed our EK boarding passes and in without a hitch. Nice man even offered a boarding call.
Had dinner/supper in the restaurant - Taitinger, Coldstream pinot and then Lilipily sticky - oh yes we had food too!
Now having a third sparkling water before we head across to EK lounge - just to look

D

I feel cheated - the darn flight arrived 55 mins early.
Had to take my shower earlier too
Mrs D declined the offer to wash on board - gimmick! Waited until EK lounge

:)
