Hi all,

Selecting seats for my 70yr old parents on an upcoming QF flight on EK A380 metal. It looks I can select row 52 via the QF website. Seat guru indicates this an exit row. Is this really classed as an exit row and will the selection hold? I don't want to move their existing seats together and then have their seat selection rejected at check-in due to their age (physically they would have no problems), then being put in poor seats.

Its a 2pm departure from MAN to DXB so not concerned about galley noise.

Cheers

I'm not familiar with those particular seats, but I thought that EK didn't generally allocate exit row seats until check-in?

Thats what was puzzling me..closer inspection they appear to be bulkhead seats.

If that's the case then they should stick, unless a family needs the seats.

Last time I booked an EK Y ticket I chose a bulkhead seat at the front of the A380 lower deck. The seat didn't end up sticking, but I was quite happy with my new seat on the upper deck. ;)

Bumping an old thread, but the OP didn't specify where those seats were in that particular row. Exit row seats are only considered as such if they are either side of the aircraft - not in the middle.

Have never been able to pre-select exit row seats on EK A380 - but the bulkhead in between the exit row seats (same row number) has been available at times.
I've always had to request the exit row seats at check in, and my track record has always been good for this.
