EF Flight Alerts & AA Status Run

Quick question for the EF gurus. I've got a status run with AA coming up in November and I want to use EF to keep an eye on fare bucket availability for my flights, in case the First class cabin sells out.

Would it be fair to say that <1 seat in F on these flights = no upgrade and a flight in Y instead of F?

YUPPs book in A or P class. So if there availability at time of booking the First seat is confirmed.

So just to clarify, if you have the relevant F (A/P) and Y availability at time of booking, you don't need to worry about flying in Y (ie F availability at time of boarding is irrelevant)? As I see it, you only need to worry about not getting upgraded if you misconnect, or change your itinerary, or if there was no F availability at time of booking?

As I see it, you only need to worry about not getting upgraded if you misconnect, or change your itinerary, or if there was no F availability at time of booking?

Basically that's it. When you book you're immediately upgraded (assuming availability). Even in a misconnect or standby situation you are able to fly in F as long as there is availability at the time of the flight.

I didn't see any storms over the weekend - in fact the Weather was rather benign ...
