So which of the following actually allow you to earn SC's on VA when flying NZ domestic flights ?

Seat ?
Seat + Bag ?
Flexitime ?
FlexiPlus ?

Keeping in mind: "Discount Economy fare classes U, M, S, T, Q, V, N and E are ineligible for Status Credit earn when travelling on domestic connections within New Zealand on Virgin Australia codeshare services operated by Air New Zealand."

NONE of them do.
The only way to earn VA SC on Y NZ dom fares, is to book a J/C/D fare from Aust to NZ, AKL, and then in that booking, have the dom flight linked to it.
The transit time at AKL is also very short, and the terminals are separate.
In my point of view, its not worth it, really, if saving $ is important to you.
You can go and play on the (A) NZ website and see for yourself.
All the flights, in anything except Business Class, will give you S class, not every Y or M on the NZ dom flight!

The way I read that page is that on an entirely domestic itinerary, Q, H and M are the only eligible fare classes. The line you quoted does state "domestic connections on Virgin Australia codeshares"

To get one of those you must purchase one of the more expensive Flexiplus fares. For a random CHC-AKL return the only ones I could find were >$300 one way.

It is absolutely possible to earn SC's but it will not be good value.

Hope that helps.
