Hi all, i searched and found lots of stuff but nohting on what i wanted!

When i get silver (another 10 SC's coming up on Mon thanks to a reschedule!) is it easier to keep? i.e. do i only need to get 250 points next year or do i earn more SC's per flight or how does it work?

My experience has been with DJ and when you get to silver you earn 6 points instead of 5 so i was wondering if this was the case with QF?

On QF to qualify Silver requires 350 SCs and to retain requires 300 SCs, to qualify Gold requires 700 SCs and to retain requires 600 SCs, to qualify Platinum requires 1400 SCs and to retain requires 1200 SCs.

You do not get bonus SCs by reaching a new status but each new status gives bonus FF points. For Silver it is 25% bonus, for Gold it is 50% bonus and for Platinum it is 100% bonus.

Plus there are soft landings in operation if you fail to retain status for next year and Qantas has not comped existing status. If your status is Platinum and you do not retain Platinum for next year then you drop back to Gold status. If your status is Gold and you do not retain Gold for next year then you drop to back Silver status. If your status is Silver and you do not retain Silver for next year then you to drop to back Bronze status.
