Earning Qantas Points on LATAM Chile domestic flight

Hi all, has anyone had any luck with earning QP on flights within South America on LATAM?

I took a flight on the 13 of February from SCL to PUQ in premium economy. A fare class that I would assume would be eligible for earning QP given that it was the highest class fare that could be purchased.

My flight activity on Qantas has recorded the flight as per the below:

I'm slightly perplexed as to how a premium economy fare would be ineligible. I have not been able find a way to check the LATAM fare class to check if the booking was eligible.

I have further LATAM flights coming up and want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything.

Cheers

I have, on a Qantas marketed codeshare flight.

Was yours codeshare? I know it’s in the Qantas app but it might still be there if it was LA coded following on from a Qantas International flight.

Both P and W are eligible fares on QFF and I think the only fares offered domestically in Chile so I think it’s a mistake.

I had no issues - but the earn is miserable

This was a stand alone LATAM flight which I understand are still eligible.

Ah I see. I have made a claim for missing points to see if that fixes it. It also happened to my partner as well. May not be worth raising further with Qantas if the earn rate is no good.

We only purchased it because it was on a 787 which seated us in what would normally be business class as they don't sell a business class fare for domestic flights.

I updated my post with a similar flight last year, PE from SCL to PNT which is just north of PUQ was only 1,200 points…. but only cost $150~ for a 3 hour flight so good deal anyway.
