Ah, extra points in addition to points earnt on credit card spending at outlet.
Wonder if I show my VFF card for things other than fuel, if I can get extra points too.
Will be good as EDR only give QFF on fuel.
Waiting!

Definitely great news to start off the week, especially when there's a BP just down the road where I live! VA + MR Local Champion = WIN.

"Value" here hinges on the earn rate.

Wonder if it'll be same/better/worse than EDR/WW (1:1 after $30) or more like Myer/Caltex (earn on any spend).

I wear mine on a Lanyard like an ASIC to maximise point earning opportunities. And to emphasis the W in WP.

I must admit, I got a good laugh when I read this.....then I thought, "what if Fruitcake is telling the truth"?

I was in a Delta Skylounge the other week and saw a lady walking around with a Platinum Amex Charge Card in a clear plastic holder on a lanyard around her neck. I've seen the WP cards, but this took DYKWIA to a whole new level!

I thought EDR/WW was even more indirect than that. Basically spend over $30 somewhere else, then trade in your discount on points. I would think it will be more like the MyerOne type offering, if they are going for a direct offering.

And it's not even the centurion card ;)

It would have to be a good points earn to make me switch to BP. Currently I get equivalent of 4 points /dollar (as well as some bonus flybuys and a 4c/l fuel discount) at Shell (using Coles/Myer giftcard bought with Amex Plat Edge at local-champion Coles). I expect you could do something similar at a Woolies Caltex but all my local ones are Starmarts and don't accept Wish cards.

Any rumours in the mill for when the VA points start. I've just been told my leasing company are not offering Shell fuelcards now and I've opted for BP. Not sure if fuelcard purchases will count though.

I wonder whether the recent decline in petrol price has changed the economics of the offer. (I.e. .5 point per $1.50 of revenue would now be .5 per $1.15 of revenue)

Well yes, but in an environment where they give 4c off .5 of a points seems cheap!
