Earn double Qantas points instead of fuel discounts?

During my call to Woolworths Everyday Rewards this morning I mentioned that the EDR fuel offers (save 4c/litre after spending $30 at Woolies) are useless to me as I don't own a car and therefore never buy fuel.

The rep offered to change my account preferences so that instead of getting a fuel discount, I will now earn 2 Qantas points per dollar over $30. (Until 31 December, anyway.)

I was not previously aware that this was possible?

In my case (& also others) they have not been crediting the points for the last few months either.

You only get 2x Qantas points on the fuel purchase instead of the fuel discount. The double points are not on grocery spend.

As you don't own a car, you haven't been missing out.

I am aware that you can trade in the 4c/litre fuel discount for 2 QFF points per litre when buying fuel. But that is different to what the EDR rep explained to me over the phone. See my original post.

Double points on shopping has not always been there. Targetted offers aside.

I rand everyday rewards this week to enquire as to why my points for purchases of fuel at Caltex have not been credited for the past 3 months and was told there was an issue with qantas.
the assured me that the points would credited but couldn't say when.

im not confident of seeing them.
