Seems like a pretty good deal since it includes both petrol and most in store store purchases. Indeed, if one was a cheapskate like yours truly they would simply purchase $1 coffees at 7-Eleven over four trips for a total outlay of $4 for 1000 bonus points. As for the value of 1000 VA points, it really depends on where you redeem, but I suspect many folks on this forum could conservatively get 1 cent of value per point, meaning a total value of $10 for a $4 outlay on coffees. Not bad!

Just thought I'd provide an update here, all 1000 bonus QF points have been secured. Now once Coles gets their act together and credits me the 4000 Flybuys bonus points I earned, I'll have the points needed to upgrade my OOL > SYD flight to J, although I wonder if that's necessary given I'm Premier Gold and will have access to some of the goodies of travelling in J (i.e. access to the United Club (operated by Virgin Australia) at OOL).
