Arriving in Sydney off a cruise then flying to Perth, how do I get my duty free that will be puchased on the cruise on the flight? do i have to put it in my HOLD luggage.
 
No you wouldn't have to check it. Domestic flights don't have the same LAGs restrictions as international flights do.

I would not put it in my bags to go under the plane as all your clothes will have a little bit of alcohol content

I think there is a limit to the amount you can bring onboard, but as stated you don't have the same LAG issues as what you do flying out of an international terminal.

FWIW - clothes can do a very good job in protecting bottles or glass that does get checked.

Alcoholic beverages,
when in retail packagings, containing more than 24% but not more than 70% alcohol by volume, in receptacles not exceeding 5L, with a total net quantity per person of 5L.

This seems not to include beer and wine which would be subject only to normal weight limits.
