duty free - FRA or JFK

I'm flying SYD to JFK next week on SQ. Been having a look at some web sites in NYC selling alcohol and the pricing seems expensive (my memory of SFO and LA buying at the super market was at times cheaper than duty free)

Would I be better off buying at FRA, or is JFK better or does someone know a decent place in Manhattan to buy?

Don't buy duty free would be my advice. Great everyday prices when you get there.
